Nominated by the Student Council and selected by the faculty, the members of the Hall of Fame were chosen on the basis of scholarship, leader- ship, spirit, and dedication. The members of the Hall of Fame are Paula Sanford, Editor of the Rameurg William Justice, Vice-president of the Student Body, Peggy Barnett, Miss Senior Class, Nancy Shook, Miss Wingfield, Steve Leech, President of the Student Body, and Evelyn Stewart, Editor of the Wingspread. DEBATE TEAM: Mrs. Brooks, sponsor, Robert McAdory, Johnny Jones, Joe Lott, Steve Leach, Johnny Leach, Robert Farr, Cary Thrash, Jerry McBride, Richard Roper, and Steve Yates. Debate Team A Speaks Out Carrying the colors of Wingfield in- to the debate arena, the Debate team, sponsored by Mrs. Sue Brooks made an excellent record throughout the state. Attending such heavy competi- tion as the Tornado, Provine, Mag- nolia fat M.S.C.W.j, and Callaway invitational debate tournaments, the team won several trophies and superior awards in speaking and platform events. The debaters worked long hours perfecting speaking techniques and compiling information for the state topic Resolved: that Congress should establish uniform regulations to con- trol criminal investigation procedures. The hard work and determination paid off as the team ended the season with an excellent record. What should I say now, Joe? I38
