Add- ing much to the team were senior Bill Tann and junior Bob Pope, both ranked in their divisions among the top ten players in the state. Tournaments included intra-city matches and district tournament play from which the winners went to vie for the State Championship crown. Skill, hard work, and determination were factors for a successful 1968 tennis season. SOPHOMORES: Becky Windham and Rita Jones, Pam Eatmon and Bill Cook, Bob Cochran and Nolan Aikens.

Volleyball Encourages Sportsmanship Among the sports offered to girls at Wingfield, volleyball ranks tops. Completing the year with a suc- cessful season Wingfieldis girls participated in two tournaments, the Vicksburg Cooper and Wingfield ln- Vitationals. Their busy schedule included games with Callaway, Central, Clinton, Murrah, Provine, Vicks- burg Cooper, and All Saints. Volleyball has provided for the girls a competitive spirit and an opportunity for extending friendships. If we all put our heads together . .
