For the first time in eight years, The 1986 Girl ' s Varsity Volleyball Team went all the way to the C.I.F. quarterfi- nals. We won the league title for the eighth consecutive year. The team was a relatively young team. Our victori- ous season was led by the senior captain Samantha Chinn. WINOWARDIAN liJf 1« I nn. i , jj» iW The 1986 Boys Varsity Basketball season proved to be the most successful year yet as the boys went as far as the second round of the C.I.F. Playoffs with a record of 21-3. The team was led by four seniors and a junior: David Hill, Danny Hor- wits, Mark Villagomez, Eric Freedman, and Jeff Laff. The team received great support from the bench warmers; Josh Chinn, Laurence Greene, Greg Behar, Glen Shapiro, Kenny Salkin, and big Joel S. (A.K.A. the Fridge). Although the team suf- fered greatly towards the end, when Mark was retired for the season. They endured and were victorious in the end. 118
