Gee Ethel, I forgot my line! This year, the new technical theatre department has been a great success. The crew created three terrific instant sets out of their magic popcorn box for Odd Night Out , the fall show. Odd Night Out was an evening of one act plays written by Shaw, Saroyan, Lard- ner and Soodik. The seventh grade drama class toured schools and rest homes with their improvised version of the tradi- tional dutch legend, The Poppen- kast . Paul ' s music class did an entertain- ing Santa Hangs Ten at Christmas. Thanks to Carol ' s insightful direction of the musical Grease , the rehersal pictures you see here evolved into the event that was bigger and better than ever before. This year ' s Mock Trial Team went further than any other Windward Mock Trial Team in history. Out of the many trials they participated in, they were victorious in all but two. This incredible record won them a second place ranking in Los Angeles County! The key to the team ' s success was the outstanding performances by the participants. However, these performances would not have been possible without the continual support of Tom Gilder and Carole Solomon. Their coaching gave the team that extra boost that took them to the top.
