These peo ple make life here what it is and we're now going to give them the attention they deserve One of these groups is the cooks. They provided us with food that was big in quality, and variety. Along with their required duties , they supported the teams around the school and gave us a smile at lunch. Bus drivers are seldom given recognition but they are a great bunch too. They gave up much of their free time to drive clubs, teams, and other groups to their destinations at any time of the day or night. The best thing about them is the way they make all those tripsa happy time. Our thanks to the cooks and bus drivers.

In Memoriam Carla lo Rumsby , March 5, 1961 - March 9, 1979 Carla Rumsby was born March 5, 1961 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She moved to Windsor in 1972. She was active in school and was a Brownie leader, Senior Class President, member of National Honor Society, editor of the School paper, a Girls' State alternate, and was involved with Teen Teaching at Tozer Elementary School. She had been accepted at UNC just before her death. Carla was more than all her accomplishments - much more. All her life she struggled with health problems and for a long time she was forced to wear a back brace. She took all her problems better than most could have. She was -a coura- geous person and she managed to live a full life. Carla was blessed with many tal- entsg a terrific sense of humor, a dedicated attitude, and she was very good with children. We can't say enough about her and it's hard to say how much we loved her and how much we will miss her. 2 , ,.....naaA.,a1f ., gear..

Music is a big part of life at WHS. It can be heard in the commons, the court- yard, and the cars around the school. Band, choir, the musical - they are all very important to many people as well. Music can be seen and heard almost everywhere in our world. Songs in the Key of Life was chosen as the theme for this year's annual for a number of reasons . The first was to pay tribute to the musical organizations in the school. Our main reason was to remind all of us that music serves as a memory and a mirror of life. An an- nual serves much the same purpose . . . enjoy it! h
