The girls served meals for the American Legion and the school district. They also held a birthday party for people at the nursing home. A trip was made to the state convention at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs in February. Members also had a Christmas party and a barbecue at the end of the school year. PBLA Has A Busy Year FBLA, Future Business Leaders of America, had quite a busy 1978-79 school year. The second annual Christmas Cotil- lion took place on December 16 with a big profit, and this year's Spring Ball was also given by FBLA. They also sponsored the employee-employer banquet for C.O.E. students at the Chuckwagon Din- ner Playhouse which came off with a big success . Something special added to WHS by FBLA was the new button-making ma- chine. lt was a great addition and wellre- ceived. Attending the state FBLA convention at the Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs was the highlight for the senior members Quoted as saying it was a lot of fun, next year's members look forward to an even more exciting time for 1979-80.
