DRIFTING SANDS The Drifting Sands slalf played a dual role in WRIIS this year. They produced the annual and the school paper. The members of the staff have worked many hours to keep the students and public informed of the many events and activities at WRIIS. Under the capable sponsorship of Mr. Milton Bennett the staff has produced six outstanding issues.

An annual goes through many preliminary stages before it becomes a completed yearbook- photography, adapting pictures to the correct size, writing copy and transferring the page layouts to tri-paks are some of the tasks | crformcd by the staff. Mr. Milton Bennett has carefully guided the staff toward the objective of making Tsc llo Tso 1969 the best WKIIS yearbook yet.

BAND The Window Rock High School Band Many colorful halftime shows were part of the hand’s activities in 1968. During the latter part of the year the hand members were engaged in getting ready for music festivals. Veronica Lynch, Eric Housckncct, and Susie LaFollctte, as the clarinet trio, received a superior at the Stati Festival. Rocky MacDonald, Susie LaFollctte and Veronica Lynch participated in the All-State Band. Veronica. Susie, and Kric, superior at State Festival.
