'r 1 if We asked some of our' students whai' Winchendon has taught them about' hard work cK dedication... Timothy Russell: My roommate, Ozan, is very dedicated to his work. English is his second language, and he still , I completes all of his homework. He makes an effort every .Q day to learn new words. I can tell he struggles a little bit, but he keeps going. He drives me to want to work harder ' when I see his dedication. I respect him for that, and I'm I can experience living with such a dedicated student. - -4 .-.nk-.1 fag., ' fig, .4 ,u ,s , ts, i, 'f..W1'. 'L' Meredith Belrose: The Winchendon School has given me A the opportunity to learn skills that I will need in college. It has taught me how to study, and the weekly gradeslips encourage me to do well. I have worked hard to be here, and I am glad I followed through with my commitment. 315 - ' 'QQ . - i l,plg.S?Q A . I .l- 1 Jay Dupras: The Winchendon School has helped mold me into an exemplary student. The system and schedule allow students to work to the best of their ability, and working hard is something I have to do in order to keep up. Making the Honor Roll for the first time in my life didn't happen because of my intellect, it happened because of the new work ethic the school has given me. l .1 Chris Burke: If my four-year stay at The Winchendon School has taught me anything, it's how to work hard. With the heavy workload given by each teacher, one has to leam and implement the study techniques they teach here in order to succeed. While here, my effort towards my schoolwork has dramatically increased, and I don't believe that would have happened at a public school. fam 'J , 9:5- 36 -WSE. .Ion Kaplan: Mr. Byrnes is one of the most dedicated teachers at this school. He is a coach on and off the court. This is evident in the way he has high expectations academically and socially for his athletes and his students. He never settles and is always ready to improve. I have never seen Mr. Byrnes give up on any student, and I've never seen him accept any excuse from someone who is capable. To me, this is real dedication. , - . . '- .:pl'. . . it ru.
