The Winchendon School 172 Ash Street. Winchcndon, Massachusetts 014754700 Telephone: 978-297-1223 FAX: 978-297-0911 October 26, 2005 Dear Class of 2006, These are exciting and eventful times at Winchendon. As I Write this, we are watching the daily progress on the new academic building that will be another major step foiward in the Schools development. We opened in September with a record enrollment of extremely diverse students from 20 countries and 38 states. We have seen a sense of community and spirit develop very rapidly. These are very formative years for you. Mrs. LaBe1le and I are pleased to sec so many taking advantage of their opportunities here. This is our 1801 year at Winchendon and every year we see the School grow stronger, especially in regard to the appreciation ofthe students for their opportunities. In a recent faculty meeting, I conducted an interesting exercise and asked the faculty to write in their own words what the mission here is. Every member of the faculty captured the essence of the mission. They are dedicated teachers who know why they are here and what we are doing. I recently agreed with the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees to serve 3 more years as your Headmaster. I anticipate continued successes for our students and faculty. Much has been accomplished in 18 years and there is much to do. We look forward to hearing about your successes beyond here. Keep in touch with each other and let us know how you are doing. Mrs. LaBelle and I wish you Godspeed! incerely, l 2 nl J. William LaBclle HEADMASTER Lluowtsrnz J. Zeffefz .yawn KEIL6 Qffeaclmaofez. . .

We began the 2005-2006 academic year at record enrollment, which meant that we gave 218 students the opportunity to benefit from our iw. .1:.Q:42y.w112g,m program. We welcomed three new members to our faculty, and we were also lucky enough to 0 in see one former faculty member retum to us. We certainly started off on strong footing! ' The daily visual reminder of the progress our school is making is the new academic building. f Each day we witness the building taking shape and can't help but wonder what the final 3, edifice will be like. It is teeming with potential and possibility. nfl The yearbook staff took inspiration for this book's theme from the creation of the new , , 11: building. We like to think that hundreds of future students will find success within its walls and will become better people for having attended our school. The students this year, and students in years to come, will see untold opportunities for making the world a better place. The possibilities are truly endless. Thank you all so much for your efforts and kindness. Without you, none of this would have g, been possible.
