Dozens Flock to Po dining hall food. and their wit, respectively. The 2004 Winchendon Student Council elections were the tbcus of the campus in October. Great pains were taken by all ofthe candidates to make their campaign platforms known. Unlike other presidential hopefuls such as Bush and Kerry, our candidates shied away from issues such as the burgeoning problem of Iraq, instead choosing to put a heavy emphasis on domestic issues such as the school's cell phone policy and Each of the candidates gave an excellent speech the night before the polls opened, eliciting cheers and laughter from their vindictive rhetoric Pleasantly surprised by the high voter turnout, faculty finished counting the votes cast by students on Friday and, by the following week, the victor of the election had been established. Peter Costello was named the Student Council President for 2004-2005 at Morning Meeting on Monday, with Kevin So instated as his Vice President. .lon Kathe, '05 11S
