Those of you who have been here for a few years certainly recognize that. Let us make no claim that every change is for the better. We hope so, but that is a judgement call. We cannot escape the fact that change is inevitable. We must be able to adapt. You will meet change throughout your lives. You must adapt. The world is changing faster and in more ways with every decade. We all must adapt! However, I encourage you to do more than adapt. I encourage you to lead the change. Do not be passive. Act! Decide what you believe in and get involved. There is a time worn prayer that I offer for your consideration: God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference. Mrs. LaI3elIe and I wish you God speed as you leave Winchendon. We hope that you get back to visit often. We will miss you. Sincerely Qwfaifa.. Three years ago. Mr. J. William LaBelIe took the position of Headmaster at The Winchendon School. He had faith in this school and in its potential. Through his good instincts and his belief in The Winchendon School, he has made great strides in improving it. The students and teachers over the last few years have noticed a restoration of the school's integrity as a small but qualified institution. We are once again proud to be a part of the Winchendon family. We believe that as long as Mr. LaBelle is the headmaster. the school's respect and prestige will continue to grow. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr. LaBelIe for his hard work and commitment. 3 fy! W. .JI .., K -4 Q '-94.16 'f 1727. . of x S,Q I . I P f 1 f 2- FFT' ' .. ..,. Over these years, he has displayed a deep concern for students and faculty alike. To students he is a friend and at times a father figure, who is always there to listen and offer comfort and advice. From 7 p.m. to 7 a.m., Ray is the guardian of the student body as well as the campus. We, the students of the Win- chendon School, hereby dedi- cate this yearbook to Ray Sault for his commitment and caring for the Winchendon School community. Thanks Ray. We love ya! During practice, they became proficient at turning through gates in slalom and giant-slalom courses in preparation for races. Each Friday of the season, the team would particpate in the Central Mass. Ski League meet at Mt. Wachusett. Although the team point totals were not outstanding, each team member fulfilled his goal of improving in his personal times. Hard work in practice payed off during the meets. The team featured an experienced racer from Korea, Jung Hoon Park, who was able to teach some of the tricks of the trade to the other team-mates. Also on the team were: two skiers from Indiana, Evan Noyes and Brian Moran, Steve Margulies was from Conn. and Chris Steele was from Kenya.
