Here he received special attention so that he might adiust to new surroundings, both scholastically and psychologically. Through combination, there were hopes that the correlation of these two subiects would be realized, carrying English tech- niques over into all writings. Transition from the grade school home room situa- tion to a double period class was easier for the student and helped him develop a feeling of security.
