'- ', - it he Classical Humanities fLatinl Club is both an education and so- cial organization which promotes an understanding of the contributions of Ancient Greece and Rome. It is affiliated with the American Classical League and the New Jersey Junior Classical League. Most of the club's activities are coordinat- ed with other N.J.H.S. Latin Clubs. This years activities include a Roman dinner and fashion show lancient attire re- quiredl and a Roman design cake contest, a Certmen, which is a college bowl type of activity, a Saturnalia and initiation cere- mony, and the state convention. CC 77 ysterious . N.. Young American Intercultural Club he Young American Intercul- tural Club is an outgrowth of the Afro-American Club. This club came about to include all ethnic groups within the school. The main purpose is to afford interaction of all ethnic groups to lead to a positive un- derstanding of each other, and better future relationships. Mrs. Dolores Brooks, Club Advisor plans to enrich the members socially and culturally. This year the Club is planning several trips that will include the Trade Cen- ter in New York, the Statue of Liber- ty, the Rockefeller Center, Inter-Har- Institute in Washington, D.C. Most of our trips will occur on Saturday's and will be open to the community. We will have a Spring Fashion Show to aid the NAACP. The activities of this club is to give our students responsi- bilities, interaction, and community involvement. Class Officers for 1987- 1988 are: President, David Martin, 1st Vice-President, Lucienda Smith, 2nd Vice-President, Nora Lloyd, Business Manager, Ansonya Lewis, Recording Secretary, Alicia Glenn, Treasurer, Tawana Gaynor, Business Secretary, Michele Cos- bor in Baltimore and the Smithsonian ton.
