Ever since he was a kid, he dreamed about flying. He would go to the airport as a kid and just watch planes land and take-off. But due to college sports, he never had the time or money to take lessons. About eight years ago he began making his dreams come true. He started tak- ing lessons at the Wood County Airport under the instruction of Jean Picker- ing. After only a year of lessons, he received his license, at last fulfilling his childhood dreams. Todaiv he goes out up to three times a month depending on the weather and his time sc edu e. Most of the time he flies a Cessna 150 single engine, 2-passenger Blane. Since he has been flying, he has flown a Piper Warrior and a twin-engine arron. He enjoys flying over mountains during the Fall or right after a snow. One might think flying wouldn't be very difficult, but it takes a great deal of concentration, quick thinking in split-second situations, and coordination. Fly- ing is a continuous learning process, said Mr. Dillon. You learn something everyday. It gives me a feeling of accomplishment and I just like the feeling of freedom.
