Behind you lie fifty years of progress-the achievements of which would have seemed fantastic at the turn of the last century. The future is yours. My asso- ciation with you these past three years has strength- ened my belief that each of you can fill an important place in making the progress of the next half-cen- tury equal, if not surpass, that of the last. Though l began my term as class teacher with a feeling of hesitancy, l leave it with one of regret. l shall remember with pleasure and nostalgia our parties and proms, our problems and worries, our plays and programs. l shall remember with pride the fine spirit of co-operation of the officers and committees. And I shall treasure the friendships that l have made among you, friendships that are made possible only by working and playing together.
