Some of you have given many long hours of serviee in work that was often tiresome, but there was never any complaint- not even when your treasurer had to chem-k his hooks for days to find a lost fifty cents! I shall he sorry, indeed, to know that as you file out after com- mencement, our Close fellowship will he at an end. You have been a truly fine class, developing from immature sophomores to capable young men and women, who will, I hope, carry with you the same spirit and enthusiasm that you have shown in the last three busy years. And I wasn'tl Iad seen too many harassed class teachers dashing about through the halls on a myriad of errands that had to be fitted into a schedule already full. What I could not foresee then is that being a class adviser has a wealth of compensations. I have come to know many of you as friends in a way that is seldom possible in a classroom relationship. It has been fun to work with you-to make our Junior Benefit a success, to plan our parties, to watch the Senior Play develop, to choose our operetta for your Class Day, and to decide on which com- mencement announcement was the best looking. In every one of the countless details that were involved in your class activities, I have 20
