We proudly present our school mascot, the wildcat. By its very nature it stands for the strength, pride, loyalty, and spirit that we, as students of Williams- port High School, hold so dear.

PRINCIPA L ’S MESSA GE OUT OF THE IN-GROUP AND IN THE OUT-GROUP Peculiar isn't it? There's not an In-group generally outside of schools and colleges. In school, belonging to a certain group was very important and the credo of that group often was more important than school itself. Out of school, having a particular group of friends doesn’t really count for much in earning a living, in being drafted, or in being married. You have to be more than just a group member; you have to earn a dollar, or learn camouflage, or head a family. You have got to be something besides accepted. How important are you, Graduate 66? If you are marked absent from The World tomorrow, who would miss you? -- and why? What have you done in the last eighteen years that could be recalled? Haven't had a chance to, you say? Everyday you touch many lives in one way or another. Would anybody remember --an act of personal courage, a kind- ness, a good idea, an offer to help? Would anybody remember -- lying out, cheating, not getting involved, doing enough to get by, let somebody else do it? Will that answer be any different in another eighteen years? For what should you be remembered G-66? John J. Hull Principal Williamsport High School
