The Student Council Again this year, the Student Council endeavored to meet the needs of the stu- dent body. Forming the only student government association in the school, it handles the major and minor problems which inevitably arise throughout the school year. The Future Homemakers of America opens its membership to girls from grades 7 through 12. The purposes of the club are to encourage democracy in home and community life, to work for good homes and family life, to foster the development of creative leadership in home and community life, and to further the interests in home economics. Sponsored by Mrs. Hayes, the Williamsport Chapter includes in its activities, learning about home care, discussing teen-age problems, and doing good-will projects for the community. F.N.A. The F.N.A. is an organ- ization designed to give girls an insight in the var- ious medical fields. The girls see films, have guest speakers, and visit medical institutions.
