Shepherd College, A.B. University of Maryland, M. Ed., Miami University, John Hopkin's University, University of Delaware. To the class of '62 Alpha and omega marks the conclusion of my first year and your last year here at Williamsport High. It has been a good year for all of us. Especially, I want to thank you for the cooperation you have shown me, the help, the support, yes, even the opposition, over this past year. But graduation signifies not just the end of the senior year of high school but the accumulation of twelve years of hard work on the part of all concerned with your school life; parents, teachers and, most of all, you. Some of you have spent this time well while others may possibly have used their time to a greater advantage. However, this is the time to look to the future. For some it means college, others business, to still others industry or marriage, but to all of you, work. To this I can only say apply yourself, have consideration for others and you will succeed. Remember always your high school days, your friends and teachers. Now I personally want to thank you, for I sincerely feel that with your graduation I am losing personal contact with sixty-three of my best friends. Still this is life, so I say to you Go with God and the future will take care of itself. 6
