SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS Secretary Treasurer Vice President President H Bryan L Taylor V Mitchell J Waffensmith Class Motto Better Wisdom than Wealth Class Flower .Tasminoldes rubiaceae Class Colors Blue and White CLASS OF 51 YEAR 1947 MONTH SEPTEMBER Finds a group of young students very eager to start their High School Career at Williamsport High YEAR 1951 MONTH .TUNE This same group of students dressed in blue and white govems acquire their final reward from W H S Each one must wait to hear his name called and then step forward to recelve his diploma Tears fill their eyes as they realize their school days are over The minds of these stu are retracing the steps of the last four years There was that night back in the ninth grade when the Latin Club had a banquet and everyone had to come dressed as Romans Remember when we were initiated before becoming a member of the F H A we really looked silly carrying those doll babies to school We always had so much fun practicing for the operettas but were scared stiff when we gave them Their minds d1d not forget the other side of school life either Those late hours spent studying Algebra and Trig Those History tests in the eleventh grade Those nights of reading Shakespeare Hours spent in the lab making such things as oxygen by the decomposition of Potassium Chlorate How proud these students were when they entered their Semor year Now they could begin to work on the Yearbook to keep on with the tradition of the Guneukltschlk which was started by the class of 50 Name cards and announcements were chosen A Christmas dance was held and sponsored by the Senior Club Mother Is a Freshman was chosen for the Semor Play and proved to be a success Every Semor received an invitation to the annual Junior Semor Prom This gave the boys a chance to ask that very special girl for a date and it gave the girls a chance to wear that beautiful evening dress they had dreamed about for so long All these things are in the past and now we must face the future May God go with us and lead us to success in what ever course we choose to take dents are occupied with many thoughts. Some are thinking of the future, but most of them
