“Spirits” Are Brought Out by the Essence of Halloween At this year’s Masquerade Ball people dressed as their favorite characters which included soldiers, a harem dancer, a jester, a shower, monsters, flappers, a senor, a senorita, cave women, a flasher, ghosts, and many other characters. Prizes were awarded for best male, female, and couples costumes. Travis Glaab came in first while Moe Dearing came in second for best male costumes. For best female costume Lisa Baertlein won first; in second place was Kim German and third place went to Kelly Baker. Best couples costumes were Rene Brookbank and Randi Schulte. Lynette Pearson and Adam Whitman took second, and third place went to Kelly Baker and Staci German. The Masquerade Ball was sponsored by Tusayan Yearbok Staff.
