Juniors Reign Over Homecoming! It's crazy, it's radical, it's wild, it's Homecoming week! The week blasted off with Brady Bunch day. Some students dressed in bell bottoms, beads, and groovy clothes. At 11:30, all the classes gathered in the gym to watch the traditional volleyball games, and compete in the lap-sit contest. Tuesday's scene featured sunglasses, 'Vans', and Bermuda shorts, as many dressed for Beach Bum Day. Wednesday brought Nerd Day. Draft beer not men.” was one of the many mottos used on Flower Child day. The 10 Student Life Homecoming volleyball finals, and the trash bag contest were the activities of the day. Friday,'Your-way students dressed as artists, punkers, and many dressed in orange and black to show Viking spirit. Spirits were high as cheerleaders led the pep assembly. At 3:30 the annual Homecoming Parade went through town. During the flaoat competition the Juniors won first. Hall decorations were an important part of the competitive events. Many pitched in to help their classes decorate assigned halls.

King Miller, Queen Curry Reign as Homecoming Spirit Bewitches Cowboys As the rowdy and wild week of Homecoming stampeded onward, the Viking football team was hard at work. Friday, October 12, the Vikings roped the Cowboys at 24-6! Homecoming royalty included: King Rick Miller, Queen Dianah Curry, 2nd. attendants, Shelley Malone, Mike Stegmier, 1st. attendants, Michelle Jaramillo, Mike Zarlingo, Prince Jerry Payne, Princess Lisa Lindquist, Duke Chris Jaramillo, Dutchess Chedelle Pouquette, Count Mike Payne., Countess Linda Vasquez, marched proudly onto the field. The spirit of Route 66” was the theme of Homecoming week. Many things happened during this traditional event, and the spirit of Williams High School will forever ride with the Vikings. 1. Students hurriedly put on old clothes as the old clothes race pressed on. 2. The old clothes race continued as, Staci German and Cynthia Martinez tried to dress Pam Brown in a hurry! 3. The candidates for senior royalty got thier kicks on route 66. H. The cheerful Homecoming under class Royalty smile as they go through the parade! 12 Student Life Homecoming
