I Band | Competition Boosts Band to Goals What organization was so rambunctious that they even tried to sell $12. beach towells in February? Viking Band! We'll do anything to raise money for our trip to California, stated Director Faun Nichols-Brown. The trip was to Mountain States Band Festival. A similar competition last year proved unforgettabl We measured up well, and we wanted to show off again, stated drummer, Robert Cardani. To discuss the rules and | regulations of NHS the old members decided to have coffee and doughnuts at a coffee shop before school with the new members.Noth ing turned out right due to not being ready member rushed through their breakfast in order to get to school on time.Since the whole school morning was off schedule,the mem-!bers went to school late. Thank goodness for the fire drill it saved them from being late. To be considered,you must be in 10th grade and have a 3«0 average A committee is appointed by the principal,cn the basis of character,service, and leadership considers you for the soceity.The of the soceity are Presi. Vica, a club consisting of devoted students, have been working toward a goal this year; going to the rodeo in Pheonix. They have had such fund raisers as raffles, a dance, and the selling of a rebuilt engine. (1) Bob Levitt installs KC HiLites on his truck. (2) Vince Rogers builds up an engine for a raffle.
