t3t IS I Mi am Tuesdays at lunch, the student council could always be found in a meeting; dealing with activities, policies, and problems related to school. Working together to promote school spirit, the S.C. put on several different types of activities. Homecoming, the Jammin Jammies Dance, a per. assembly, and hay ride were only a few of S.C. sponsored activities. When President Terri Hoffman was asked to comment on the council she replied,, They were really great to work with. Thanks for all the help and support. (l)Typing minutes keeps B. Glaab busy at the typewriter. (2)When S. Malone was asked why she ran for Vice Pres, she replied, I wanted to take part in student council and get involved in activities. (3)E. Gabaldor. and Sponsor Jim Wesson go over council mail. Mr. Wesson described the council as hard workers.( 0 Keeping files for the council is only a small part of Pres. T. Hoffman's responsibilities. (5)During meetings, when L. Pearson was asked for the Treasurer's report, she always commented, You always catch me with my mouth full! Every other Tuesday night at seven o'clock, the members of FBLA met. President Jeff Smith, brought the meetings to order, while Barbi Paren-teau frantically wrote down minutes. During the meetings old and new business was discussed. Many money making projects were planned, such as the annual Christmas ball, selling raffle tickets, calendars, memo boards, and Current stationery. The profits that were made went towards paying for the trips to Winter Re-gionals in Winslow, Yavapi (l) Club members listen while Mrs. German discusses calendar sales. (2) Exchange student, Annie Wynia, took part in many clubs, (3) President, Jeff Smith, brings the meeting to order. (L) Eva Gabaldon recieves a Skills Day in Prescott, and State Annual Leadership Conference in Tempe, All the members worked hard in practicing for competion. Some of the competions were Typing I, Typing II, Accounting 1, and Accounting 11. FBLA, along with the help of NHS, raised money for the Foundation of Arthrithis Research. FBLA also contributed to the Tusayan yearbook. FBLA was described as leadership, a sense of responsibility, and a fun time. free calendar for sales.
