Clams, ll In the fall of 1949 the freshman class of 1953 entered W1ll1ams Hlgh School The total enrollment mcluded 39 eager students The flrst class meetmg was held to elect offlcers Nelson McK1nney was elected presxdent Sandra Schnell was elected v1cepres1dent Marlene Olson was elected secretary treasurer The class sponsor was Mrs Vatcher In1t1at1on took place and all the students got used to h1gh school lxfe 1mmed1ately In ath let1cs three freshmen earned football letters and eleven earned Jumor h1gh letters 1n basketball The next year as sophomores the class offlcers were elected as follows Nelson McK1nney presldent John V1Ck v1ce presldent Robert Gardner secretary treasurer Mr Earl Davls was our sponsor We started the year of 51 Wlth 30 students a loss of nlne Joseph Rodrlquez was chosen on the All Northern f1rst team 1n football and on the All State second team By thls tlme we were becomxng acqua1nted w1th hlgh school hfe and many were takmg part 1n extra curr1cular aCt1V1tl6S Many boys took part 1n foot ball basketball baseball and other clubs whxle the glrls took part 1n the drum and bugle corps and glee club The next vear we became Jumors and upper classmen at last At our f1rst class meetmg we elected Sandra Schnell presldent John V1ck v1ce presldent and Paul Carl secretary treasurer Mrs Clark was our sponsor We started the vear w1th 32 students Joseph Rodrlquez was chosen on the All Northern second team IH football In the sprlng the class presented the Jumor play entltled Judy s Dlary The theme of the Junlor Prom was Blrds of Paradlse Sandra Schnell was chosen queen of the Prom and John V1Ck kmg The attendants were Burl Smlth and Jeanette Donovan Sandra Schnell and Judy T1ssaw represented W1ll1ams at G1rls State and John Vlck and Tony Munoz were delegates to Boys State Sandra Schnell was chosen the most popular gxrl 1n school In the year of 52 we fmally became senlors At the flrst class meetmg B111 Whltaker was elected presldent Ronald Bockelman v1ce presldent Dlck Way secretary treasurer Mr Hengl was our sponsor The students voted Sandra Schnell the most popular g1rl Jeanette Donox an the best all round glrl B111 Whltaker the most popular boy and Tony Munoz best all round boy B111 Whltaker was chosen as the kmg of the Semor Hop and Jeanette Donovan queen Sandra Schnell and D1ck Way were thelr at tendants The Hop was held on Apr1l 13 Durmg the 52 football season W1ll1ams had 1ts best football team ln years agaln placlng Joseph Rodrlquez on the All Northern f1rst team and the All State second team In add1t1on Tony Munoz and Ronald Bockelman made the All Northern second team Judy T1ssaw was elected head cheer leader for the school year In November we presented Forever Albert whlch turned out to be very successful We closed our days at W1lllamS Hlgh School w1th Class Day and graduatlon on May 21 The followmg day we went to Oak Creek for our annual class p1cn1c 9 ' y ' 1 s - ' 9 v v 1 ' s y , . . . , . 7 5 1 Y 7 nl - ' 1 v 1 ' , , ' . . .
