THE TUSAYAN SENIOR CLASS PROPHECY OF 1944 Well, folks, here is your radio reporter, Martin Klass, bringing you the latest from the American colony on the planet Jug , As you know, folks, this planet was first discovered by the great scientist and chemist, Charles W. McCormack, M. A., M. D., A. D., and B. C., who discovered it through his powerful telescope on Supai Mountain in Arizona. James Weatherby Duncan, the pilot of the first rocket ship to land on Jug, is now the mayor, by unanimous choice. One of his ablest assistants is Raymond Corona, the eminent bug specialist, whose job it is to keep the flies that abound on this planet, under control. Flash: The peanut heiress, Marcella Dye, has just been exposed as a bigamist. You remember the home town girl that made her start in the Central Drug Co. of Williams, Arizona. Her husbands are said to be Admiral Gentsch, and Senator Brown, two well-known and in- fluential men. Gentsch has been in charge of the Coast Guard in the three mile limit around the earth. The latter, Senator Brown, is the brilliant statesman who secured the rights for America to establish this colony 10,000,000 miles from the planet, Earth. Here's a flash hot off the wire, folks. Joe Baca has just re- turned from the moon in his rocket ship, Aurora in the record- splitting time of 2 days, 6 hours, and 15 seconds. It is rumored here that his assistant, Henry Garcia Gutierrez, was detained at the moon by the police when they discovered that he owed several thousand dollars alimony to his sixth wife, whom he divorced on the grounds that she locked him out of his house. As a result he was forced to spend several weeks sleeping in his helicopter. Attention radio listeners: R. J. Hock, the bottle manufacturer, and inventor of the shapeless beverage bottle for hip pockets, has just be- come the father of triplets. Bridget Butler and Lyla Fetterman, the temperance advocates, who stirred up such a commotion in Congress last week, are on a tour of this planet in search of the answer to the most pressing problem of today. This is-, of course, the changing of whiskey to milk by chemi- cal process. We will pause a moment to hear a word from our sponsor, Lynn Kirby, President of the Ox Tail Meat Packing Company. Sorry, folks but Mr. Kirby just fell and swallowed a lighted cigar, and as a result, will not be able to appear tonight. Now, folks, on with the broadcast: Here are some of the latest gossip tidbits from the planet Jug . The priceless Pekinese dog belonging to Miss Dorothy Benson, the leading socialite hostess of CContinued on page thirty fourl 11
