From its initial publishing in 1924, our has borne a title derived from the Indian word meaning the firstf' The editor of that early edition sought a name that Would portray a distinct meaning through the years. When he noticed an old fashioned pot-bellied stove inscribed with the trademark, Doe-Wah-Jack, he was inspired to use that title for the yearbook. Thus our book became the namesake of the little iron stove, portrayed on the cover of our DOE-WAH-JACK. 4 xx, Q, Lf, .
