Took his M.A. degree there in 1911 and his Ph.D. degree at Harvard University in 1917. Graduate student and Instructor in History at the latter institution from 1911 to 1917. During the war he served as 2nd Lieutenant with the 28th Infantry tlst Division, A.E.F.j and was wounded at Cantigny. Instruc- tor and Assistant Professor at Yale, 1919-1924: Professor at Williams in 1924. He served in the Bureau of Education of the Philippine Government from 1910-1912. Was appointed instructor in Economics in St. John's University, Shanghai, China, in 1912. Was in the Graduate School of Harvard University during the years 1915-1917. In 1917 he was appointed Professor of Eco- nomics in St. .Iohn's University. I-Ie was on leave of absence from 1922-192-L spending the first of these years in Harvard Graduate School and the second as tutor in the Division of History, Government, and Economics at Harvard. Mr. Remer was appointed Orrin Sage Professor of Economics at Williams in 192-l. ' Professor of Chemistry and Physics at Ewing College 1902-06, Assistant and Instructor in Physics at the University of Illinois, 1907-10, and Assistant, Lecturer, and Instructor in Physics at Columbia University, 1911-17. In China from 1917-22 as Head of the Department of Physics and Dean of the Premedical I School, PekingUnion Medical College, and in 1922-23 as Visiting Professor of Physics under the China Medical Board in charge of the Department, Canton Christian College. Has published , many articles on subjects relating to Physics and Chemistry. Mr. Stiflcris a member of the American Physical Society, Gradu- ale Scientific Fraternity, the Society of ZX, I'A, and A. l . XL A. Taught Chemistry two years at Palver Military Academy. In 1907 took up graduate work at the University of Chicago. Received his M.Sc. degree from New York University. Continued studies and research at Columbia Universit.y. Taught at Yonkers High School and Columbia.
