Homecoming Week comes to a grand Hnale as the students and alumni dance to one of the closing songs for the evening. Homecoming Week Ends on Some Enchanted Evening Schumm. and Wanda Ingram look on as Jane Hagen fcenterj, is crowned. After a hectic week of bomb-finding, pie-eating, song- singing and float-building, Mitchell students and alumni gathered one last time for the traditional Homecoming dance entitled Some Enchanted Evening. Dancers basked in the strobe light under the petal- paper palms, strolled barefoot in the saw dust and waded in a sea of blue and green crepe paper. A little out of line with the lazy tropical setting was the hard-hitting sound of Kohl, Shepard and Smith Together. Centers of attention for the evening were Miss Jane Hagen, the 1970 Homecoming Queen, and her court con- sisting of Betsy Acree, Mary Ann Bayles, Wanda Ingram and Carol Lumsden. The beautiful girls, the music and the tropical setting all brought a small piece of South Pacific to Mitchellis cafeteria on a chilly Colorado night.
