jk? 0 When Frederick was a liH'le lad, six 'Feel' liHle, and had as+ounded all his classmafes by graduafing from P.S. 87 af fhe fender age of ninefeen, he was faced wi'l'h fhe difficulf problem of choosing a high school in which +o pursue his career. Frederick placed +he names of a dozen assorfed edifices of higher educafion in fhe shell of a hollow egg-planf, closed his eyes, and picked one. Tafl' los1', so fhere Freddie weni. For fhree and a half years, Freddie awoke each day al' +he crack of dawn, exchanged his pawn fickefs for his fexfbooks, and hopped +o school on his yellow and blue pogo slick. For fhree and a half years, Freddie sfudied and worked zealously, as any normal Ta'H'il'e would noi' do. He had a beaufiful undersfanding wifh Mr. Jason, and was probably fhe only boy in +he school whom Mr. Rosenfhal had no'r fold fo s+op whisfling and gef ou+ of +he hall.
