Going on to the play-offs, Taft won against the tough competi- tion of Jordan High School. A week later they were faced with the competition of last year's AAA champions, Fairfax High School. The game took place at Pauley Pavilion and this event was considered one of the most excit- ing games in Taft's Basketball history. They were ahead for three quarters and had the spectators on the edge of their seats. In the fourth quarter, the score was close, but Fair- fax took the lead and won by one point. Taft has excellent teamwork and it showed throughout their games. The Basketball Team, besides being the West Valley League Champion is rated number four in the city. .l ll 5talLii.13l.iiEL12lL1lite Lu
