However, they only won one game. This year was the first time Mr. Kroot ever coached soccer and he was inexperienced. He commented, lt was not until one week after the team had been formed that l realized the game of soccer was ppyed with a round ball. He learned about the game through reading and watching it be played. Mr. Kroot hopes that with the experience gained, next year will be a winning season. M ,.' r . Back Row: Natalie Broidy, Randi Berney, Denise Gelfend, Erica Pill, Marci Mitteldorf, Janis Feder, Sharon Sokoloff, Lisa Fisher, Ellen Meskimen, Phyllis Pugh. I I I I Taft has traditionally had a great girls' tennis team, and this year was no exception, led by such out- standing players as Cindy Woodhouse and Pam Wax. The girls placed first in their league and went on to city finals. Opposing teams had double and the trou- ble when they played one of Taft's doubles teams, such as Randi Bernie and Marsi Freidman. Taft's tennis team is one tradition we hope continues. 2 mi' I f n ,,.,f,,,. .,.,... , - ff ' f't L1' , Y ...,..., . ,. .I ,,..,.A- V- ,,,.,....., H ,,... , in ,, ,,,,,.. ., .,., ,.', .,.... , 3 ' , . . . ,',,,.M. ...f,,-.:,, ,.,, f ...,.
