Wi, ,E, ,,,.,,, , The Boys' Tennis Team consists of singles and Doubles teams. The players practice about three hours a day. From early March through mid-June the Taft team competes against other high school teams. Coach Lambert is pleased with the progress the tenth graders and returning players have made. He's especially pleased with Richard Paley, Ivan Klarich, Mitch Rosenberg and Skip O'Shea. With the players' outstanding abilities Taft is bound to be in the West Valley League Championships once again! l L- - Q .,.f

The 1978f79 Girls' Basketball Team had a good season with the Varsity placing third and the Junior Varsity placing second in their league. Coach Martinez found his job rewarding and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. He feels that he may have underestimated some of the other teams but he knows t the girls tried their best. QI 1 W ft? H., R 'L fm . T ' . j Taft's Golf Team is a hard working team, consisting of sixteen members. Fourteen of these members are tenth graders, with only two returning letter- men. The coach, Mr. Kratzle, said that there were many good prospects and he predicted a good sea- son, even though the league offers stiff competition. l65
