140 The Taft High School Pep Club con- sists of some of the most spirited people in the school. At their weekly meetings, these people discuss ways to promote spirit at Taft. They 'L also help other clubs and organiza- tions when the extra service is need- ed. The Taft High Booster Club consists of interest- ed members ofthe school community. In the past, they have given academic and teaching aids to the school. Last year, this group built a snack shop by the football field. The club's goal this year is to provide new band uni- forms. Taft's Marching Band, made up of about eighty students, has participated in many school related activi- ties. They play at all football half-time shows, both at Taft and at other schools. The band is a major part of the spirit activities and pep rallies. This year, with the help of the Booster Club, they were working towards new uniforms.
