Under the leadership of Student Body President Dave Weiner, Fall Cabinet was one full of enthusiasm and creativity. While keeping with past traditions, they also included several new ideas to the already fine list of student activities. Who could ever forget those memorable Cabinet Happenings : the outstanding leader- ship qualities shown by Student Body Vice President Lauren AI- perstein as she led the House of Representatives through their second semester, the tremendous boost in Taft's spirit brought about by Director of Spirit Cathy Clark, the successful Bonus Book Drive organized by Student Body Treasurer Terese Dan- kowskig the fantastic dances planned by Director of Social Activi- ties Randi Berneyg the creative, colorful publicity for every school function designed by Director of Publicity Jennifer Herman, the exceptional organization, skill and patience displayed by Director of Special Services Lee Rosen. Add to this a few great activities planned by Director of Assemblies Mike Eisner and the best Homecoming ever, organized by Director of Community Involve- ment Rodi Mauer, and you've got one of the best and most spirited semesters of Student Body Cabinet ever.

Student Body President Terese Dankowski, along with hard-work- ing Spring Cabinet, opened up the new year with one of the most successful and enjoyable semesters ever. With Ms. Norma Derr as advisor, Cabinet provided not only the student services but also community services: The House of Representatives contin- ued in its third successful semester with Student Body Vice Presi- dent Thea Nesis in charge, all elections Ccheerleader, class and student bodyj were handled in an excellent manner by Director of Special Services Lee Roseng the superior planning of each dance was organized by Director of Social Activities Chris Fina, Student Body spirit was raised through activities and pep rallies led by Director of Spirit Ron Yusim, Junior Class enthusiasm and spirit were renewed through the actions of Junior President Pam Sail- or, and many senior activities were expertly planned by Senior Steering Committee and Danai Katsufrakis as Senior President. Community relations included Political Awareness Week orga- nized by Director of Community Involvement Shari Yusim, as well as Student Cabinet exchanges set up by Corresponding Secre- tary Allison Acker.
