Since the Very lirst day of school, the uppermost thought in the minds and hearts of the stall has been to present to you. the student body. the best annual possible so that when looking over it in future years you may readily recall the liond memories of your stay at Byrd. Ylith this thought in mind as a challenge and an inspiration we settled down to the long and tedious task before us. The cooperation of the faculty and the students encouraged us to put forth our best etlorts to produce Zl line yearbook. Xlr. Cannaday of The Stone Printing and Xlanulaeturing Co. and Xlr, Cantor of Xlerin Studios both deserve our praise and appreciation. ,Xds were solicited by members of tlfe junior and Senior Classes during the first lew weeks of school. They were instructed beforehand by Xlr. Ahalt concerning their conduct and procedure. Then they were divided into teams of two and sent out on their respective assignments. 'l'he Annual Stall has a bullet supper at our sponsors in the fall of each year and a picnic in the spring, thus uniting pleasure with our Work. The Binxeic SXVAN is a member of the S. 1. l'. .X. and each year sends representatives to the convention in Lexington. For the past two years the annual has received an Honor Award at this Convention. VVQ sincerely hope you enjoy looking at it even half as much as we enjoyed compiling it, for then shall we know our labors were not in vain.
