The counseling oH5ices also assist in linding part-time jobs and permanent positions for business- minded seniors. To assist in making accurate choices of pro- fessions. the counselors conduct scholastic and vocational apti- tude tests. The sincere wish of both counselors, Miss Boyer and Mr. Miller, is that every grad- uate be prepared to eventually attain his personal goal. Through similar counseling facilities, many students over the past lOO years have found themselves in re- warding walks of lifeg each of us. too, should say thanks to Miss Boyer and Mr. Miller for having started us in step with the ultra- fast present. Miss Lucy Bittner and Mr. Russell Knauss. together. have given the much needed en- couragement to all the members of the Senior Class. Adding to the SUCCCSS of the school program at Allentown High School are Mr. Fatzinger's scheduling of as- sembly programs, his checking of attendance. his enforcing of disciplinary measure, and his managing of the visual aid program. Busy as he is, Mr. Fatzinger still takes time to know and to understand individually a large segment of the student body. Even those of us who have experienced no direct contact with him appreciate the aid and encourage- ment he gives the pupils of AHS. STRONG ADMINISTRATORS BUILD STRONG SCHOOLS. RAYMOND L. WALLER Cofffgf Preparatory Coordinator The help and guidance given to the college preparatory students hy Mr. Waller, the Dir- ector of College Preparatory Studies, is illimitahle. He has attempted to make the tremendous change from high school to college as smooth as possihle for those pupils Who will continue their formal education. Mr, VValler also does much ofthe preliminary planning for the Advanced Placement Program Classes, which are still expanding in their experimental stage. Another of his responsi- hilities is the directing of the Standardized Testing Program. It is in this area that most of the pupils of A.H.S. come under the dir- ection of Mr, Wlaller.
