Keepmg Them Flymg Airplane Engine Work With the coming of the air age A H 9 has started a complete course on airplane engines Available to the students taking this course is STOO COO worth of tcp nctch equipment in the form of engines and other parts 5 cured from planes which saw service and were then retired because of obsolescence Some of the equipment was mode available through government funds A quantity of it was received from Middletown air depot ar-d shop The pupils alternate between high schccl and the shop spending two weeks doing bookwork and then two weeks in actual Contact with the engines At first they are given a thorough visual education on the different parts of the engines Then they go to work on real engines takmg them apart cleaning them putting them together timing them and learning the electrical connections Upon completing this course we know that the students will be ready for any war work whether it is in the armed services or in the shops at home l 0 I the Harrisburg aviation school, The braces forthe engines were furnished by the welding
