COMUS ivknp Maury Allentown Hugh School thls year sustalned an lrreparable loss For Paul Maury passed away on January 31 1934 He was one of the most esteemed and popular members of our faculty HIS frxends are leglon and the news of hls death was a sharp blow to us all Allentown I-hgh was has Alma Mater and he proved hlmself a worthy son As a member of the football the basket ball the baseball the swlmmmg and the track teams he was the promlnent athlete of the class of l92l A few years after h1s graduatlon he returned to hrs school to teach commerclal subjects and at the same tlme render valuable asslstance to Blrney Crum on the grldlron and to turn out first rate track teams Some students here at school had not the prlvllege of knowmg Mr Maury personally but every one knew hlm by slght Hls death left a great vold hls passlng brought a pang of sorrow to the student body and to every member of the faculty W w r , . - u - 1 . , ' v 1 v y v . , - , 1 . y ' - s
