511455 67.9 WW Uf 1.9 Hello, Everybody! This is the history of the Senior Class of 1958. Igo back to the year 1945 when Fred Aguilar, DuWayne Christian, Joe Gonzales, Tom Harrison, Pete Lawson, Pat Rottman, Margaret Ann Simmons, and Kit Woods started the kindergarten under Mrs. Eikenberry's guidance. A bright and successful year that was, and with the production of the Three Bears , it became one to be remembered. The first grade came with the addition of Kathy Conklin, Charlene Crismon, Pat Rottman, Sherry Thompson, Walter Wien, Vergene Williams, and Bruce Wilson. Roger Gary and Wes Hinds joined the gang in the second grade, Alan Giles, Alfred Miranda, Wesley Moore and Carmy G. Page joined in the third. This group worked hard, often wondering if life wou1dn't be easier if all they had to do was to get up and go to work. Well, by now you're probably wondering where the rest came from. The years stood still until the fifth grade, which brought with it--why, only Sandra Tucker! Oh, she was a swell student! Coming with the sixth grade were Jack Desmond, Bill Karch and Jeanne Kelley, but arriving in the eighth to help end the grammar school years, was Mary Sue Belew. Ready for higher education, the class began the freshman year with the addition of Jerry Amalong, Myrna Joyce Bruncer, who left us for a while, Kareen Farnsworth, Judy Grantham, who also left but came back, Annette Lindsey, Richard Veck, and Mike Warren. Thinking nothing could be worse than Freshman initiation, they were now ready to start their sophomore year. The year began with two new students, Erlinda Gonzales and Lynn Tyler, Judy Morphis and Elaine E. Owen were added later in the yC3I'. Coming to help make the junior year a successful one, were Richard Davis, Ron Redding, and Casey Riggs, though the one thing that really made it successful was the booming sellout of the play, INNER WILLY. The most eventful and important year brought Martha Clause, LaVon M. Johnston, and Elizabeth H. Morris to complete the graduating group. The play, Finders Creepers , under the sponsorship of Miss DeWitt and Mr. Bowman went on smoothly, and the publication of the yearbook, THE ROUNDUP, was finished without a doubt. The Senior trip was one with many moments to remember, but then came graduation day and the class parted, leaving only a memory behind. As a class history, Ihave done my part. Now another type of history must take up these people's lives. So -long Erlinda Gonzales 09000 000000 o NX :Si 1 1
