Principal ' s Message What is a school? The unabridged dictionary lists some 29 different definitions of a school. What does the term, " school " , mean to you? What aspirations, what plans, what successes, what failures, what challenges has it produced in you? Our hope is that Willard is, has been, and will continue to be " a place for teaching and learn- ing " . Willard can mean just as much to you as you want it to mean. Our dedicated staff can do all within its power to teach you and to help you learn. But, in the final analysis, it is up to each student to work his hardest to learn all he can. To those Eighth Graders who will be leaving us for West Campus, we say " best wishes, work hard, and do all you can to make your next year a valuable learning experience " . To our Seventh Graders who will move to a new eminence as next year ' s Eighth Grader ' s, we say " good luck, and may you rise to the leadership responsibilities next year will offer " . Sincerely, Arthur V. Shearer
