The girls seen running errands, collecting absence slips, helping with tiles and typing were the Office Assistants who aided Mrs. Shontz and Mrs. Rainey. The Audio-Visual staff worked to make classes more interesting by showing movies and slides during their study periods. In addi- tion to showing films they set up proiectors and later returned the equipment to the audio- visual room. ln the library girls checked slips, tiled cards, and helped students choose interesting books for reviews. The Library Assistants who served for two or three years received pins in recog- nition of their service. The quotations on homeroom blackboards every Monday morning were the work of the Quotation Squad. This year the words to the wise were selected monthly by committees working with the officers: Barbara Craig, president, Edith Latimer, vice president, Marilyn Reilly, secretary, and Judy Haver, treasurer. Annual and HiWays record Buck row: C. McGiIvary, R. Allison, H. Trumbull, G. Pressley, T. Chapman. Third low: M. Young, A. Way, A. Stone, N. Morrison, J. Dickson, C. Pears. Second row: J. Waugh, S. 0'NeiI, R. Hershnrin, J. Comin, M. McCollum, C. Herron. First row: l. Henderson, M. Fritz, G. Hucka, K. Lochner, J. Byron, J. Haver. From September until the beginning of March the Annual editor, Judy Waugh, and her staff were busy trying to meet deadlines. After a conference at Ohio University, the staff met and planned a layout which Georgia Hucka executed. From September until Jan- uary Cameron McGilvary and his camera were almost inseparable as he snapped pic- tures to fill that layout of empty spaces. Mean- while Judy Byron prepared the senior section and Helen Trumbull, assisted by Mary David- son and Nancy Morrison, typed identifications and write-ups supplied by Anne Adkins, Carol Herron, Jean Moreland, Robert Allison, Judy Haver, Sue O'Neil, and the auxiliary staff. When February 27 deadline rolled around and the printer left with the final copy, the staff gave a shout of ioy. They had met that last deadline. In room 204 the business staff with Kathy Lochner in charge worked diligently to pro- vide money for the book. Tom Chapman and Don Willson sold ads to meet budget expenses. While bookkeeper Mary Alice McCollum kept a record of the transactions, Lois Jean Hender- son typed letters to the advertisers. In May the printer kept his deadline. With the arrival of the T957 Annual autograph signing began. Another sign of spring had arrived. Helen Trumbull types the senior section for Judy Byron while Judy Waugh and Georgia Hucka prepare pictures for the engraver.
