Never will we forget those wonderful days when we made so many new friends and had so many good times. The first thing we accomplished in the fall was the election of the following to head our class: Blair Chrise, president, Bob Groshok, vice president, Lorraine Delancey, secretary, George Irwin, treasurer, and Carol Easton, historian. Dave Shearer, who was elected to take over the reins of Student Council, proved to be a very capable leader. Under his direction our governing body sponsored the all-school dance, Mid-Term Magic. Representatives from our class participated in the Open House held on October 22, then our parents met and talked with the teachers. On the sports scene the seniors boosted every athletic contest with their ability and spirit. The football season ended with seven games won and two lost. Under the able coaching of a newcomer to WHS, Mr. Walter Miller, our hoopsters also enioyed a successful season. The cross-country team brought addi- tional glory to the Red and Blue with their fifth consecutive undefeated season. Looking back, we can remember the days when we were sophies on the shelf and our iunior days when we were the backbone of the school. It has been a long, hard climb since we first entered WHS. Now, as these three years of hard work and happiness come to a climax, every senior feels proud that he has been a part of For you, High. 18
