MR. EGE No one is supposed to be indispensable, but Wilkinsburg High would have a hard time func- tioning without Miss Reitz. Girls recognize her as a willing and helpful confidant, and as the sponsor of Senior Council and' Girls' Council. Everyone looks to her for adviceg no school event is complete without her presence. The bulletin board in 119 is the hub of extra-curricular activ' ties, for it is here that the clubs post their meeting dates. Miss Reitz plays a most important part in keeping the wheels of W. H. S. turning smoothly and efficiently. Do I have enough credits to grad- uate?', Fd like some information about scholarshipsf, Is it too late to change my scheClule?', Back in his old position as guidance counselor after four years as principal, Mr. Ege once more stands up under the barrage of questions and complaints of W. H. S. students. Keeper of the credits, shuf- fler of schedules, and custodian of col- lege lore, this patient friend is always ready to help us in room 121. MISS REITZ

Um? Wilkinsburg High returned to school this fall to find a Unewn principal. But Mr. Car- son was new only to MR- CARSON this student body. Teachers and gradu- ates remember his years of faithful service prior to his enlistment in the United States Army Air Corps. It didnit take long to get acquainted, though. Mr. Carson soon became a familiar figure in the halls, dropping informally into classes, and chatting pleasantly with little lcnots of students outside the office or by the library doors. By making our interests his, by striving always for the good of the students, but mostly by just being himself, Mr. Carson personif-ies the PAL in principal.
