I was a child full of laughter. I was a child who lived for today. My eyes full of sunshine, my heart full of smiles, I was a child for a day. We were the children who sang in the morning. We were the children who laughed at the sun. We listened to those who spoke with their wisdom. We are the ones, we would say. 4 Every year at Wildwood High School the co-editors of the staff se- lect a special teacher to dedicate the yearbook to. This year we could not have made a finer choice. Marie Ia- conangelo has many remarkable qua- lities that no other individual em- ploys. Italian and French are the subjects Miss laconangelo teaches. Each class is filled with a learning experience that cannot be matched in any other class. A great deal of cultural back- ground is absorbed by the students through the personal stories that are revealed in class. French and Italian are, of course, the main topics of study, but any of Miss laconangelo1 s subjects can be considered a new learning experience. Miss laconangelo is not only an ex- pert foreign language teacher, but also a very talented drama teacher. Marie laconangelo displays her abili- ty during the performances of the many plays she has directed. Much time, effort, and tender loving care go into the long hours of play prac - tice and presentation. The most outstanding quality, however, is this women's unusually friendly personality. A day does not go by when Miss lac does not have a big smile and a giggly laugh for ev- eryone . For if this day was ever to come, Wildwood High School would not be the same. I sincerely hope that the year com- pleted was profitable, and that you took full advantage of the educational opportu- nities offered to you. I hope that the year also presented you with a full measure of enjoyable memories. Above all, I wish I could guarantee that your entire school experience has taught you a great deal about life and equipped you to face the world confidently and capably; however, what you will ultimately get from your schooling experiences depends largely on what you have put into them. To the class of '79, I extend the best wishes of the staff of the Wildwood Public Schools with the hope that we have given you a firm foundation for a good life. To the underclassmen, I extend the challenge to make the most of ev- ery exper- ience our school makes available to you. Mooney. 49 STUDENT COUNCIL During the 1979 school year, the Student Council opened up the meetings to the entire school. This new priviledge was well- received by the students. Along with these open meetings, was the oppor- tunity of the Student Coun- cil to meet with the school board. Frequent sessions were scheduled and a lot of business was accom- plished. The Warriors beat Sacred Heart for second in the C.A.L. A setback from Ocean City was followed by another seven game winning streak. Clinching of the Cape May County Crown came in the winning streak.
