To whom, can we the Class of 75 say thanks?” Although there are many who deserve our gratitude, this class would like pay a special tribute to Mr. Robert Fierro. Mr. Fierro is respected both as a teacher and as a man. Because he is so well informed, his classroom discussions arc not only educational but gratifying. While his classes are demanding academically, his students value the knowl- edge they gain. The benefits from such hard work result in a more practical and realistic attitude toward the problems of society. In addition to teaching history, Mr. Fierro extends interest in his students beyond the classroom. Concerned with the student’s direction in life, he is always available for individual guidance. Also he can often be found captivat- ing students with his scrupulous conversations of basic, logical reasoning; accompanied by human wit. Above all, Mr. Fierro is a listener who is open-minded to the views of the students. He encourages them to express their opinions and allows them to think as individuals. The students arc not classed, numbered, or stereotyped by him, but rather he acts as an open-minded adult by accepting each as an indi- vidual. Because of his interest in what the students have to say he immediately gains the respect of all. These qualities mold into a character whom we all can appreciate. You give but little when you give of your possessions. It is when you give of your- self that you truly give.” Mr. Fierro has truly given of himself. For this reason, by vox populi,” Mr. Fierro has been chosen as the teacher to whom we show our gratification. We hope, Mr. Fierro, that you too have gained by our indi- vidualism which you helped form. T W E W o N 0 R E D Thank you! REI.ATIONS MAN Jonathan Rwhins ac;c;ountant Donna St anion ■ DeBh UcuiujTkcuiks It is hard to believe that we are finally graduating from high school. Through these difficult times, we have experienced both good and bad which shall become only memories. There are several people to whom our gratification must be expressed. These people will be remembered for the betterment of our attitudes, class, and school. Mr. Hartman is given a special thanks from the yearbook staff. His advice, cooperation, and enthusiasm can be greatly appreciated. Without his ability to say yes this yearbook would not be possible. Mr. Villiger is probably the hardest man to contact because he is constantly on the run making the athletic program click. He is a man who has fought to improve the facilities at Wildwood High School. Having the respect of the students, Mr. Villiger has been an asset for all comers of the school. Mrs. Picketts has lifted the shadow from the girls athletic program. In the short time she has been here, she has made it possible for girls to be recognized in spons. We shall never forget her enthusiasm which has sparked all those around her. Mr. Mancia, a truly dedicated man, cannot be passed by. Without his cooperation, many things we did as juniors would not have been possible. He is a man with a deep interest in the affairs of students; a quality which has bettered our class and school. Emma Langley is the lady behind the scenes. Loving the school and the kids, she is always willing to give a helping hand with any class activities. Because of her involvement she is a welcome part of our class. The most important people to whom we should say thanks are our parents. They have provided us with security and have tried to guide us in the right direction. We have shared so many things, both happy and sad, in which we will leave behind. As we start a new leaf in life without their security and their judgment, we shall face a world of uncertainty and emptiness. With all their help through these difficult years, we hope to handle our new situations with confidence. BducaiZcM is sociati pioc ss Education is g iOivth. . . May the success that was brought about by your deter- mination and desire be only a beginning for many future successes. The acceptance of responsibility and the completion of any task, large or small, both in school as well as out of school, are positive characteristics that predict your satisfactory development as a worthy future citizen and a productive member of soci- ety. May each of you look back upon your school with a sense of pride that is based upon the efforts you put forth during your high school careers. May the friendships you developed here continue, and may the memories of a job well done remain a continuing satisfaction to you. Go, enjoy, remain involved, and grow because all of tomorrow' belongs to you. GutAxuCfc DopctntiMJ flb MR PAT MATTEO To the Class of 1975: Congratulations for having reached a very important milestone in your lives. Until now you have been accumulating knowledge, skills, and values. It has not been easy and, in some cases, it has been accomplished at great sacrifice and effort. But it will form the base for fur- ther building and growth. Now you will be able to put this learning to use and I know it will stand you in good stead regardless of the direc- tion you will follow. 1 want to offer you my sincere wishes for success and happiness. MR RICHARD GABLE MISS DONA STEPP Superintendent — MR. FRED J. PROCOPIO To the Class of 1975: Graduation from Wildwood High School marks the end of an era in your lives and the beginning of a new one. You will carry with you the many fine memories and traditions which this institution has developed over the years. Hopefully, we of the academic staff have provided you with positive influences that will enable you to cope successfully in a worldwide com- munity. Through your daily involvement in the educational development of your lives, you have acquired the knowledge, sense of identity and desire to live to the maximum limits of your physical, mental and emotional abilities. Many have given unstintingly of themselves in assisting you to become proficient in the basic skills of communicating effectively, through reading, writing, speaking, listening and observing. It is my fervent hope that you have learned how to enjoy life through worthwhile accomplishments and to be able to distingush between fact and opinion, evidence and propa- ganda, logic and illogic. Always respect the worth of every human being and the total dignity of man. The challenges ahead arc awesome, but we, the profes- sional staff, find comfort in the trust that you arc prepared. May God bless each of you with good health, happiness, prosperity and success. First Row: Mrs. D. Boyer, Mrs. E. Billiris, Mrs. G. Breslin. Second Row: Supt. F. Procopio, Mr. B. Ingcrsoll, Mr. C. TO THE CLASS OF 1975: As you sever your connections with this school, I wonder what you are thinking and what you have learned, not so much from textbooks and teachers, but from your varied experiences during the past four years. By this time you should have developed the ability to make intelligent and rational judgments about yourself and the world around you and to accept the consequences of your actions. You should have developed the skills needed to cope with change, to transform your potential into actuality, to live and work with the people around you, and to acknowledge the esteem and worth of all individuals. It is my hope that you have found the necessary tools to live in a world none of us has yet experienced. May each one of you attain such success as will bring you prosperity and the only permanent happiness — the joy that comes from a life well-lived in favor with God and man.” DOMINICK J. The '74 football team brought a new image to Wildwood High School. Though their record of 1-8 does not mark that of a winning team, the scores tell the story. Although they came close to many more victories, the breaks were not in their favor. The team endured much practice, absorbed a lot of coach- ing, and suffered many injuries in order to battle their oppo- nents. For this reason a new pace has been set for our future football teams. We arc happy about our team’s performance this year. The season was wrapped up with a win against Lower Cape May. We hope that win will continue into a successful season for the ’75 football team. We wish you the best of luck in the next coming season. Assistant Coach — Neil DiLorenzo Assistant C sach — Tom Kelly Head Coach — Dick Gable. The players weave their talents to create a binding force which over- comes our foes. When the sounds of DEFENSE” come echoing from the fans, the players really begin to click. The Warriors are truly a team, and for this reason they have gained the support of the student body. Having a team” image requires long hard hours of practice, discipline, and fans. But above all the team needs a dedicated coach. Our coach, Bcrnic McCracken, has molded the Warriors into a team that Wildwood High is proud to support. CI-ASS COLORS: Pastels CLASS FLOWER: White Rose To the Class of 1975: Wildwood High School will long remember the year of 1975. This marks the graduating class which has added much to the spirit of our school. Whenever a project was set before us, we worked together molding new ideas into successful events. The 0 enthusiasm generated by the class has inspired members of our school and community. Without the help of everyone, we could have never sponsored such outstanding events as Stairway to Heaven, Homecoming, Spirit Boosters, Hoagie Sales, and Dances. We want to thank everyone for their never ending support. In the past few years at Wildwood High School we have made lasting F friends and experienced memorable times; but most of all we have begun to update traditional school ideas. As we depart on our separate ways, always remember being part of this fantastic group. George Washington Carver was once quoted as saying: When you can do the common things of life in an uncommon way, you will command the attention of the world.” This is the Class of 1975! Best of luck in your continuation of doing the uncommon things of life. '1- s CamIu — President (jaMiha — Vice President — Treasurer — Secretary Qaswc — Historian usa puuiiNin l.iv Fulg.
