W.A. B Teams: Stephen Harvey, Frank Lane Martin Sheffield and Mark Waren 1 - l B Team Shows Promise W.A.'s B Team did not actually consist of only four boys. For their first game against Ft. Dale Acade- my, Brooks Donald stepped in as one of the starters. The game, however, ended in defeat for the Wildcats as did the second game of the season against Mea- dowview. Even with the help of Ronnie Steadham, Carl McNeese, and Ed Bodiford, they could not pull out a victory and fell 41-38. The Wildcats seemed to hit a winning streak when they won two games in a row. The first was a 27-25 victory over Sparta and the second was a 40-36 win over Morgan in the Mea- dowview Tournament. Their win put them up against Meadowview in the finals for the second time in the season. The Trojans were not to be beat and the Wildcats fell 68-44. Again the B Team came up against Ft. Dale. The outcome however was not as pleasing as it had been the first time and the Wildcats were handed a heartbreaking 24-28 defeat. The final game of the season ended in a 39-21 victory over the Sparta Warriors. 112 l
