Errors are critical in STATE A Championship M55 B5 game. Wilcox 8 Springwood 28 Wilcox Academy went to Springwood Academy for the 2A State Championship Finals. Wilcox played good defense the first half but fumbled the ball. ln the second half Springwood recovered another fumble on the W.A. 14 yard line and turned it into a touchdown. They also returned one interception pass for another six points. The only score for Wilcox was made by David Love with Sam McKelvey scoring the extra points. Wilcox ended up if2 in the state with the final score 28-8. top left-V.l.P. buses line up for 4 hour drive to Lanett, AL. immediate left-Wildcats in action during Championship game. bottom-WA scores lone touchdown in 4th quarter.

W.A.'s First Playoff Game Ever . . . Wilcox 20 Warrior 7 Wilcox played Warrior in the first playoff game at Wilcox. The scoring was done by IVlcKelvey passing 48 yards to Hunter IVlcDuffieg Will Harvey intercepted a pass and ran it back for a touchdown and David Love ran in a faked field goal.
