BENNETT Class Officers faced Difficult, Lonely Challenge he graduating class of 1987 have had dedicated leaders to help them through their Senior year. And the Senior Class officers have been glad to do it. President Joe Scaglione remarked, I can say that the Class of '87 is a good class. We all get along well and have fun together. These hardworking students, Joe, Vice-President Tanya Kuhr, Secretary Amy Shirling, and Treasurer Margaret Mancini met at least once a week with Senior Class Advisor Mr. Ponzillo. Their objectives were to raise money to defray the costs of both the Senior Prom and the '87 Yearbook. They did this through a few fundraisers such as candy drives, a raffle, and other sales. Margaret remembered that ”We had a little trouble getting the Senior Class to participate, but Amy said, We were successful in what we did consider- ing the amount of help we had. Commenting on their successes, Tanya said, The fundraisers were held to a minimum, but we managed to pull through and achieve our goals. Class officers during junior year were Cozette Brown, Tanya Ruhr, Tamika Jackson, and Margaret Mancini Junior Year's A Success With Help Of Class Officers ho was originally responsible for the success of the Senior Class? A few peo- ple who started the necessary fundrais- ing, who spurred the class to action ear- ly. The who has to be the Junior Class Officers of 1985-86. Tanya Kuhr was elected President of the Junior Class last year. Her hard work was partly evi- denced by the fact that she was elected again the next year as Vice-President of the Senior Class. Cozette Brown was Vice-President of the Junior Class, Tamika Jackson was Secretary, and Marga- ret Mancini was elected Treasurer in both her ju- nior and senior year. These junior class officers handled the task of planning money-raising to start the class fund. The class sold various items, such as things from Christmas catalogs, and held a bake sale. The officers also took part in the juniors' Ring Ceremo- ny of 1986. They organized and helped carry out the distribution of rings to their classmates. The money that the class raised with the guid- ance and aid of their advisor, Mr. Ponzillo, was carried over into their senior year and put mainly towards expenses of the Senior Prom. We really appreciate what Mr. Ponzillo and our Junior Class Officers did to help make the Class of '87 a suc- cess! Kristine Dziezynski 6 Seniors Chick Stop. Stacy!
