One of the best things that happened in our Senior Year was the introduction of Senior Privilege which enabled us to eat and lag in cafe instead of attending a study hall. A Food Service class was reinstituted and was successful due to a high interest by the students. In the spring we all realized that the end was near. We began making plans for our prom. This year it was going to be exceptional, and indeed it was. We will all remember it In A Special Way . Finally Graduation day was at hand. As each of us walked across the stage to receive our diplomas, we had a feeling of nostalgia as we looked back upon our four years spent at Wilby, but we also had a brief glimpse of the future with the hopes of living happy and re- warding lives. Senior Year - 1984 - It finally arrived. No more looking up to the Mighty, Mighty Sen- iors - We were they! We've been through a lot together, good and bad, and we will keep these memories for a long time. The football team ended their streak and for the first time since being in Wilby we finally saw them win. We all enjoyed laughing when the players cheered for us at a rally in cheerleading uniforms. Our Homecoming theme was This Is Our Town and our pride showed as many of us became involved with our Homecoming Pa- rade. Our Senior Class Officers: Dennis Arroyo (President), Mike McCormick (Vice Presi- dent), Wendy Santa Maria (Secretary), and Kim Semple (Treasurer), worked hard with our advisors and led us to another successful year. We had a magazine drive, another ornament sale and we had a lot of fun with our Valentine Carnation sale and our Breakdance Exhibition. 10 Introduction

TRIBUTE The Class of 1984 would like to pay tribute to a man who has devoted twenty-eight years of outstanding service to the Wilby High family, Mr. William Kramer. As a long time member of the Business Department, department head, and student activities advisor, Mr. Kramer has had a positive impact on thousands of Wilby students. A life-long resident of Waterbury, Mr. Kramer is an alumnus of our alma-mater. He and his wife Lois are especially proud of their three children; Michelle, Bruce, and Fvan who are also Wilby graduates. As a gentleman of charm and humor who has been so much a part of the Wilby scene for over a quarter of a century, the Class of 1984 would like to join the entire community in wishing Mr. Kramer a sad but fond farewell and a happy and fulfilling retirement.
